A Simple Explanation of the Gospel

GOD LOVES YOU

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
— John 3:16

God created you. He knows you. He loves you. He wants a real
relationship with you — not a religion, not a ritual, a relationship.


WE ALL HAVE A PROBLEM

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
— Romans 3:23

None of us is perfect. We've all done things wrong — lied, hurt
people, been selfish, ignored God. The Bible calls this "sin," and
it creates a gap between us and a holy God that we cannot bridge
on our own. No amount of good works, effort, or intention can fix it.


GOD PROVIDED THE SOLUTION

"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were
still sinners, Christ died for us."
— Romans 5:8

Jesus Christ — God in human form — lived a perfect life, died on a
cross to pay the penalty for our sin, and rose from the dead three
days later. His resurrection proves He defeated sin and death.

He didn't do this because we deserved it. He did it because He
loves us.


YOU CAN RECEIVE THIS GIFT

"If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in
your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
— Romans 10:9

Salvation is a free gift. You can't earn it. You don't have to
clean yourself up first. You receive it by:
  1. Admitting you're a sinner who needs a Savior
  2. Believing Jesus died and rose again for you
  3. Turning from your sin and trusting Jesus as Lord

You can pray something like this:

"Lord Jesus, I know I'm a sinner. I can't save myself. I believe
You died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn
from my sin and trust You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You for the
gift of eternal life. Help me to follow You from this day forward.
Amen."

It's not the exact words that save — it's the faith in your heart.
